What in God’s name gives Elon Musk and Donald Trump the right to destroy agencies that have functioned for the benefit of humanity for many years and to fire people who have effectively run the government.
None of Musk’s various “accolades” qualify him to take over the government of the United States or the right to the personal information of American citizens and Donald Trump is actually quoted as being one professors’ “dumbest goddamn student [he] ever had” (Frank DiPrima).
It would be perfectly acceptable to investigate the efficacy of various programs, but that is not the same thing as totally destroying agencies such as USAID.
USAID, created by President John F. Kennedy, “demonstrates America’s good will around the world; increases global stability by addressing the root causes of violence; opens new markets and generates opportunity for trade; creates innovative solutions for once unsolvable development challenges; saves lives; and advances democracy, governance, and peace.”
These two, whose basic wealth was given to them by their parents, do not seem to understand the vast impact such programs have on people who are in need and often the victims of natural disasters, of climate change, of violence.
It seems that Trump’s warped brain only knows how to seek revenge rather than find compassion. He only aims to search and destroy.
